The 20th March was World Oral Health Day (WOHD). WOHD is celebrated yearly worldwide to promote oral health, worldwide. The intention of this day is to provide an occasion for global, regional and national activities related to oral health.
The very first ever international day that was associated with oral health was back in 1994, which was the International Year of Oral Health, when World Health Organisation’s (WHO) World Health Day was dedicated to oral health.
To commemorate this day and keep your oral health in check, here are 9 tips to help you and your loved ones:
Invest in a proper toothbrush and brush your teeth for at least two minutes. Use proper brushing technique, Instead of moving your brush in the left-right motion, brush in a circular motion.
Brush before bed and switch to an electric toothbrush (if you can afford one) and do not just brush but floss as well. Rinse with mouthwash, be aware of teeth grinding and visit your dentist regularly.
