Some blocks in Soshanguve that are serviced by Block CC substation are without electricity following three cable faults that occurred this morning.
City of Tshwane said in a statement that the repairs to the faults are currently underway and it is envisaged that they will be completed and power be restored by midnight.
The areas affected in Soshanguve are Block CC, Block F, Block G, Block AA including the shopping complex.
Meanwhile, Pretorius Park and The Wilds are currently without power due to cable theft from Mooikloof substation. Technicians have been dispatched onsite to establish the extend of the damage with the view of replacing the cable and effecting repairs. It is not known when the repairs would be completed and power be restored.
All electrical points should be treated as live at all times.
