Block CC substation in Soshanguve suffered a blackout when cables got stolen in the early hours of this morning. Plans to replace the cables are currently underway. It is estimated that power supply will be restored by 22h00.
City of Tshwane Director Media Relations, Mr Lindela Mashigo, said customers must report outages using SMS line 44676 and the customer care contact centre. All calls should be recorded on Powermap.
Consumers are advised to treat all electrical points as live.
