The South African Police Service honored the junior National Commissioner, Miss Felistas Hamba a grade 10 leaner from DC Marivate Senior Secondary at Soshanguve on the 4th April 2019.
The junior national commissioner’s task is to encourage the youth of South Africa to take part in fighting crime at schools, ensuring a safe and conductive learning environment
Major General Hilda Mohajane of SAPS, expressed her gratitude to the whole school for the support and encouragement they gave and for allowing SAPS Miss Hamba to participate in the Junior National Commissioner project.
The ceremony instilled inspiration from the learners to see their fellow learner who devoted herself to serve her country and becoming the beacon of hope to all those who believe that crime doesn’t pay being honored.
“My duties as the Junior National Commissioner of South Africa is to create a safe and secured environment for all, shift the focus of young people out of criminality and to help them to focus on rebuilding the Republic of South Africa,” she said.
