A BCom graduate from North West University, Revival Ramaifa (26), residing in Soshanguve Block BB, would like to host free lessons for matric pupils around the community of Soshanguve. Ms Ramaifa will be assisting in Accounting, Economics, Business studies and Mathematics.
She tutors students from various institutions on a daily basis knowing the importance of matric results and she hopes to make a difference in the lives of young children in order for them to succeed in their careers.
“I know matric results can be a make or break and for many people, the normal school hours are not enough, they need extra classes. I decided to assist my community without expecting anything in return and I hope that learners will take advantage of this opportunity,” she said.
She will be assisting at Soshanguve High school, Ntsako High school and other schools around Soshanguve. Revival and her team are in the process of registering a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) which will not only focus on tutoring for matriculants but will also be working with Primary Schools for early skills development such as the spelling bee, debate and more.
Revival and her team seek assistance from those who have completed their matric with good marks, and also schools around the community to host their sessions.
“We need schools to partner with us so we can use class rooms as our venues. Volunteers who have achieved good marks are also encouraged to assist. Previous question papers and text books are also needed.
‘We also seek to expose learners to Universities and to help them apply, so we are looking for people who can assist with transport and lunch for the learners,’’ she said.
Those who would like to assist and matric pupils who are interested, can reach Revival Ramaifa on: 063 7771 480 or 072 5248 646.
