Color Fun walk set to benefit over 200 Orphans

The Clean Up Squad and Donald Isaac Maluleke Charity Organization, (DIMCO), supported by RediCure Emergency Services and Spur Tampico are set to host the 10km Color Fun walk at Giant Stadium, Soshanguve, on 12 December 2020 at 5 am.

The walk is set to raise funds for eight orphanage homes Christmas party and to honor Donald Maluleke the founder of DIMCO, who died early this year in February. The DIMCO believes in the Clean Up Squad to assist orphanage homes by raising funds for its annual charity.

The Christmas party for the orphanage home is set to be celebrated on 13 December 2020, where children will receive toys, clothes, and school uniforms from the drive.

Mr Mthokozisi Mtshali, the DIMCO member said they are impressed to host their first color fun walk.

The Cofounder of Clean Up Squad, Mr Reggie Mashiane said the walk day will be filled with activities for young and old people. “As an organization, we felt compelled to be part of this walk because Mr Maluleke shinned a light for us in our journey to help our community as an NPO.”

Mr Mashiane added that they joined DIMCO to honor Maluleke, highlight alcohol abuse during the festivities, and to promote water drinking. “The Color Fun walk is not only set to benefit children from the homes but recovering drug users who completed their treatment and will be given jobs on the day, to clean after participants.”

“Tickets are priced at R100, DIMCO and Clean Up have encouraged the masses even non-participants to donate to homes.
