The load shedding in South Africa has affected a lot of people especially matriculants who are currently in the middle of exams. Few matriculants from different schools in Pretoria told Soshanguve Pulse that load shedding has changed the ways they are used to studying.
Ms Inga Tshobeni who is a matric candidate at Amandasig Secondary School said her ways of studying have not changed entirely because the area she lives in is mostly affected during the day and she studies at night.

“I am not certain what is causing the power outages but if there is a way that we can help by using electricity wisely they should let us know so that we can prevent load shedding,” she said.
Another matriculant from Soshanguve High School, Mr Sihle Mthembu, said he has to change his studying schedule and it is already late. “I end up not studying enough and not resting enough due to staying up at night trying to study which affects my studying and concentration in class.”
He believes that load shedding should take place at midnight because everyone is sleeping and he does not think it will affect students as it does now.
Eskom announced that load shedding will be suspended from tomorrow.
