A woman died after a car accident on the M17 Road near Mabopane Station on Friday 27 May 2022, while the driver, who is believed to be her lover, is fighting for his life in hospital.
A witness, Mr Eric Serutle, said “I heard a loud sound made by the car and when I went to see what happened, I noticed the couple in the VW Polo that had rolled out of control and was on the side of the road.
“After noticing the couple injured in the car, I called an ambulance which arrived on the scene with the police and it appeared that the woman had died on the scene and the driver was injured,” he said.
Regional Moloi, who is a friend of the driver said he is shocked and heartbroken by the accident.
The victims’ identities could not be disclosed before their families are notified.
