SOSHANGUVE – The City of Tshwane has announced the completion of planned maintenance work on the Soshanguve L Reservoir, a development expected to improve water supply reliability for residents in parts of Soshanguve and surrounding communities.
The announcement follows months of monitoring and repair work aimed at strengthening water infrastructure in northern Tshwane.
According to the City, the reservoir forms part of efforts to improve water distribution and reduce pressure on the municipal network. Recent updates indicate that water supply systems in affected areas have shown signs of recovery following maintenance interventions.
The completion of the work also comes after periods of water supply challenges in some parts of Soshanguve, prompting the deployment of water tankers and emergency measures during maintenance and supply interruptions.
