Virtual Educator-Led Learning Experiences (Velle), is a remote learning initiative from Lefa Co-operative. Their aim is to help learners, parents, and schools through digital tools, throughout exams.

Velle is a social enterprise that was established in 2012 but they started offering their services to the community in 2014, their first project was sponsoring schools with tablets in partnership with the Department of Education.

They also had the advent of the Tshwane free Wi-Fi, for them, it was a perfect opportunity to enhance the quality of education since learners had access to free Wi-Fi and the proper learning devices.

Mr Tebogo Leote, of Vele, said it was also a great initiative to help prepare learners for the 4th industrial revolution and the digital economy.

“Learners are battling with the curriculum, so our wish as Velle is to elevate the quality of education in our local schools to be the same as in private schools, with the use of mobile phones,” said Mr Leote.

Velle offers their help to learners from grade 10 to 12 with, Mathematics, Mathematical Literature, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Geography, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, English FAL, History and Life Sciences.
