The 54-year-old former football player from Soshanguve block L, Mr Peter Nthithe, has challenged members of the community to keep fit by attending his free fitness classes.
The local former football player is keen to assist the community to keep healthy through regular exercises.
Speaking to Soshanguve Times, Mr Nthite said he started his after he suffered a back injury eight years ago.
“I started these classes because I came across people who had an interest in leading a healthy lifestyle and those who wanted to keep their bodies in shape.
“After I was told that I will never play soccer again, I got motivated to stay positive and to push myself so that I could use my body to perform other tasks in life,” he said.
He said he moved the free classes from Falala Community Hall after he was asked to pay rent and negotiated time slots at Thulasizwe Primary School Hall in Block Ha from Monday to Thursday, 8h00 to 19h00.
Mr Nthite encouraged young and old people to keep a healthy and fit body so that the body can fight against chronicle illnesses.
