Soshanguve residents gets new hope from Tshepo 1Million

The Tshepo 1Million visited Falala Community Hall in Soshanguve block F on the 13th of August 2019 and promised to come back to the community early September to deliver computers and k53 books to improve the unemployed youth of Soshanguve by giving them basic skills to prepare them for the work environment.

The Tshepo 1 Million is a Gauteng Provincial Government youth empowerment initiative designed to break down barriers for youth to participate in the economy with any education level from grade 10 to graduates.

In partnership with business and Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, Tshepo 1Million provides to unemployed youth through the facilitation of skills development, job opportunities, and entrepreneurship development.

Mr Kabelo Ramolao, the spokesperson of the Tshepo 1Million said, “the project started back in 2014 under the name Tshepo 500 000 and was later restructured and unveiled as Tshepo 1Million in January 2017, after it created over 300 000 job opportunities”.

“We are going to come back to provide basic skills that we have identified are needed by the community.  To us nothing is as urgent as giving hope to our young people, many of whom are victims of poverty and unemployment,” Mr Ramoloa said.
