Mr Masemola shows the proof that he reported the matter and nothing has been done in eight months

Councillor Sankie Ntohla, a Ward 37 Councilor in Soshanguve has promised to assist a resident in his ward who has been without electricity for the past eight months.

The resident, 47-year-old, Mr James Masemola, who is a person living with disability and depends on his disability grant, said his situation is exacerbated by the situation that his house was damaged by hail in 2013 and since then his roof has been leaking.

Like any other resident, Mr Masemola reported the matter to the municipality at Wonder Park after the cable was stolen during construction in the area and to date, the municipality has only fitted a box without a cable to connect electricity to his house.

The councillor said even though the matter was not reported to him, he will take it upon himself to get help for Mr Masemola.

“Residents in my the should report their problems so that I can assist. All they have to do is to present me with a reference number and stand number and I will take it from there,” Mr Ntohla said.
