The Right e-Pharmacy has bettered the collect and go smart lockers for the chronic medication in Gauteng. Patients who are taking chronic medication can now quickly collect their monthly medicine from a smart locker anytime near their hometown. The department of Right e-Pharmacy announced this on Friday, 09 of October 2020.
Collect and go smart lockers follow on from the popular ATM pharmacies that were implemented by Right e-Pharmacy in 2018. Collect and go smart locker sites have been set up at 39 sites in Gauteng.
Gauteng team leader for collect and go Sifiso Shabangu, said collect and go smart locker will assist patients on chronic medication.
“If you are in a condition such as asthma, HIV/Aids, diabetes or high blood pressure, and you need regular medication, Collect and Go will help you stay on your medicine so that you can stay healthy and live a full productive life,” said Mr Shabangu.
“It is really easy to use, but you have to register at your clinic. Speak to your healthcare worker. If your condition is stable, they will register you.” Shabangu said.
Right e-Pharmacy PR consultant Tshilidzi Matidza, said improving the collection and go smart pockets has made it easier for people.
“No more long queues or taking time off from work to collect medication, you choose your locker location and you can also ask a family member to collect the parcel on your behalf.
“All that is needed is a one-time pin which does not cost anything. Social distancing is easy, protecting you from Covid-19 and It is safe and easy to use,” said Ms Matidza.
