Parts of Tshwane to be on stage three water restriction

The City of Tshwane has issued a notice that the CIty has received a notice from Rand Water, that some parts of the City’s Region1, 3 and 4 will be on Stage 3 water restrictions.

Affected areas are Ga-Rankuwa Industrial Sites, Soshanguve, Mabopane, Kruisfontein Reservoir, Klip Kruisfontein Reservoir, Rosslyn North, Ga-Rankuwa, Plot 56 Strydfontein, Akasia Park Reservoir, Magaliesburg Reservoir, Lotus Garden, Louwlardia Reservoir, Kosmosdal, Rooihuiskraal Reservoir, The Reeds Reservoir, Bakenkop Reservoir, Blair Athol Reservoir, Sunderland Ridge, Erasmia, Saulsville Reservoir, Wonderboom Reservoir, Laudium Reservoir,Klapperkop H14 Reservoir, Blakfontein Reservoir, Kentron Portion 2, Doornkloof and Thaba Tshwane.

“Tshwane would like to remind the residents that the water restrictions that were imposed previously in line with the Water Supply By-Laws, were never withdrawn and are therefore still applicable,” said Mr Selby Bokaba, head of communication at the City.

He said residents should not water or irrigate gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 06:00 and 18:00, and should not wash vehicles with hosepipes or high-pressure systems. Restrictions include not filling swimming pools.
