The founder of the Thabiso Seema Foundation, which works to prevent the spread of HIV, distributes free sanitary pads to Soshanguve teenagers to help teenagers in the area with sanitary pads
Some of the teenagers who receive the pads are living with male parents where it is hard for them to ask something like sanitary pads because at their age some of them think it is a shame to ask personal things like this to men.
Ms Mamsi Nkosi, one of the beneficiaries said she thanks Seema Foundation because there would have been no free sanitary pads without them.
“We are grateful because for some of us it is hard to tell parents when it is your first menstruation,” she said.
Ms Puseletso Molefe, a community member said she appreciates that the Seema Foundation has an HIV and AIDS awareness program that is beneficial to teenagers.
