Ms Kwena Modi, a Block KK Community Member said since there are many crooks in the region and it is not safe, I hope the police will continue to find more offenders.
“We put a lot of effort into providing for our families and I have been robbed multiple times on my way to work or from work so I appreciate the work of the police,” she said.
Mr Akani Ndlovu, a Block L community member said the area has a university campus (TUT), and there are landlords that assist students with accommodation, yet students are not protected in this neighborhood because they are the ones who are typically targeted for laptop and phone theft.
“Landlords lost clients as a result of these crimes, and some families rely on being landlords to provide for their needs.
“I’m glad the suspects were arrested, and I hope they receive the justice they deserve,” he said.
