Tebogo Malefahlo and Lisbeth Mashabane are young people from Soshanguve who founded Creature Films on 22 January 2014 to produce local movies and have recently launched a television channel on YouTube called Soshanguve TV.
Tebogo MalefahIo who is a freelancer, filmmaker and graphics designer said they do not have any funding for their projects and rely on supporters and their six clients.
“We are currently working on post-production of 20 episodes per season focused on organisations, leaders, upcoming artists or anyone who is doing anything motivating our Soshanguve community.
“The feedback is very good on our social media platforms from the people who support us and it helps us to improve so that we can move to broadcast.
“The aim is to put Soshanguve on the map by promoting our artists, organisations, upcoming actors and leaders and to create employment.
He said they also aim to train 100 actors and filmmakers, “however, this is going to need sponsorship to make this dream come true.
