Mr Polelo Huma, known by the stage name, Master P, is a 29-year-old artist from Soshanguve Ext 6 South who is a self-taught painter, draws for a living and also apply his art on customised t-shirts, sneakers and caps.
He started drawing at the age of six years because of his passion for art. Even though he had to take a break from the arts due to lack of the subject in Soshanguve schools, he bounced back when he was older as his passion grew.
“I continued to draw without any supervision and I naturally perfected the skill because it is in my blood and I am inspired by the challenges I encounter in life and the journey of my life.
“My biggest achievement was when I was one of the top 20 BIC pen art master competition last year,” he said.
Mr Huma said his future plans include having an art gallery and also to introduce art in local government schools and to be an art teacher.
“I would love to teach what I love doing,” he said.
