Ms Letlhogonolo Modise (27) had a stroke at the age of 17, when she was doing her Grade 12. Today she is running the Non-profit Organization called Letlhogonolo Modise’s Foundation that is designed to help people suffering from stroke in Pretoria.

Ms Modise said she designed the organization for everyone who wishes to survive a stroke.

“We discuss the current situation with our people and if they are in need of help we assist them with physiotherapy and accommodation.

“We are aware of how crucial time is and how expensive this journey is, but life does not stop with a stroke,” said Ms Modise.

She said her organization like many other non-profit organization, they are in need of funding and will also accept volunteers from medical professionals who can spend two hours a week to assist patients that do not afford services.

Ms Modise said having a stroke is a big challenge particularly for people who do not have care.
