There is no continent more blessed with striking beauty than the African continent. As we get closer to Africa Day on May 25, it is important to learn about the African continent and its diversity.
According to Wikipedia, Africa is the world’s second largest and second most popular continent after Asia, with 3000 distinct ethnic groups, 2000 languages and it is made up of 54 countries. It is known for its huge cultural heritage and its landmarks. It is the warmest continent in the world.
African culture is expressed in its arts and crafts, folktales, religion, clothing, cuisine, music and languages. Include sculptures paintings pottery ceremonial and religious headgear and dresses and its African prints. Personal appearance is more important in Africans. Africans use animal skins, wood to make accessories and clothing. We take believe in our ancestors and spirits.
Even though African cultures are widely diverse, it is also seen to have many similar morals they hold, love and respect. The Africans continue to upholding their kings and chiefs in many villages.
Mozambique’s Graca Machel is the only woman in the world to have been the first woman of the two different countries.
South Africa is one of the most diverse countries in the continent it is known for its food which include bunny chows (ekota), mogudu, samp and beans as well as the boerevors.
Nigeria is known for having the largest population and their African movies. Nigerians express themselves mostly in their African folktales and African movies.
Despite the fact that Africans are lovable and warm people, the Continent is also known for having great landmarks, good places for tourist attraction. Places such as the pyramids in Egypt, Fish River Canyon in , Victoria falls in Zimbabwe, Robern Island in Cape Town South Africa, Serngeti National park in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro Tanzania, Avenue of the Baobabs Madagascar, Masai Mara in Kenya and the Kruger National Park in South Africa
