Tshwane’s technicians are busy replacing a cable that was stolen between Rietgat and Soshanguve X substations this morning.
Director: Media Relations, Mr Lindela Mashigo, said the theft has interrupted the power supply to Soshanguve Block P, R, S, T, U, V, X, Y, SS1-SS5 and KK and it is estimated that the service will be restored by 20:00.
“The City apologizes for the inconvenience that may arise as a result of this outage and we advise consumers to treat all electrical points as live,” he said.
Affected consumers are urged to log all complaints by SMS.
