Ms Koketso Molope (21), a second-year student at Tshwane north college from Soshanguve Block L was crowned Miss Soshanguve after judges were impressed by her overall performance during the Miss Soshanguve beauty pageants on Saturday 24 October 2021 at Falala Hall.
Ms Molope’s goal as Miss Soshanguve is to make other girls believe in themselves, encourage them to feel happy about themselves. She wants to help her community and empower young ladies to reach their goals by giving her own time to nature them and through donations.
“I am a committed and passionate person. I worked hard to win the crown balancing modeling and my school work.
“During the competition, I created a friendly environment around me by making other competitors feel relaxed and equal,” she said.
She looks up to the current Miss South Africa, Lalela Mswane, and says she followed her journey to the Miss SA crown learning from her passion and integrity.
In 2019 she was disqualified before she could make it to the top three of Face of Sosha but instead of giving up, she made sure that this time around she gives it her all and fixes the mistakes she made last time.
“Financially the pageant was challenging, I had to finance myself, and also having to practice on my own since we were on lockdown.
“One of the problems faced by the youth is the lack of success in education, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, and family problems. As the crowned Miss Sosha I will make it my priority to help others overcome these problems,” she said.
